SPECIAL EXHIBIT
“Bisbee through the Eyes of Ted DeGrazia” is a twin venue exhibit in Bisbee, Arizona, featuring paintings from 1936 to 1942, done while Arizona artist Ted DeGrazia was manager of Bisbee’s Lyric Theater. It is displayed through Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Bisbee Mining and Historical Museum and the Muheim Heritage House.
These exhibits include a remarkable series of nocturnal street scenes from the 1940s, depicting downtown Bisbee’s quiet, nearly empty streets as DeGrazia made his way home from the Lyric Theater every night after midnight.
Most oil paintings from DeGrazia’s Bisbee years (1936-1942) will be displayed. There are 21 total at both locations: nine at the Bisbee Mining & Historical Museum and 12 at the Muheim Heritage House.
